Our research proposal, ‘Development of Thermal Transistors for Solid-State Cooling,’ has been selected for the 2024 Samsung Future Technology Incubation Program (삼성미래기술육성사업). We will continue to accelerate the development of complete solid-state cooling devices. Congratulations!

We joined IWPMA(International Workshop on Piezoelectric Materials and Applications) 2024, held in Hannover, Germany. Dr. Hur delivered an invited oral presentation.

We joined GCIM (Global Conference of Innovation Materials) 2023, held in Jeju island, Korea from June 10th to 13th, 2024. JeYeon, Seungbum, Somin, and Byoungjin gave a poster presentation and Dr. Hur delivered an invited oral presentation. Especially, Byoungjin Yoon, an integrated PhD student won a Best Poster Award. Congrats!

Although KIST is located in Seoul, we had a walking tour from Seoulo 7017 (Seoul Station) to Namsan Park with the idea of exploring places we don't usually visit. This walking tour was guided by a Seoul Walking Tour guide.

We attended the 7th International Conference on Advanced Electromaterials (ICAE 2023), held in Jeju Island, Korea, from October 31 (Tue) - November 3 (Fri). Dr. Ko delivered an oral presentaion on International Workshop on Piezoelectric Materials and Applications in Actuators (IWPMA) session.

We attended 2023 Fall Conference of the Korean Sensors Society, held in Yeosu, Korea from October 11th to 13th, 2023. Seung-Bum Kim presented two Posters in the conference.

We attended MCARE (Materials Challenges in Alternative & Renewable Energy) 2023, held in Bellvue, WA, USA from August 21st to 24th, 2023. Dr. Hur was invited to Symposium 8 (Piezoelectric and Triboelectric Energy Harvesting using Low-dimensional Materials) as an invited speaker and a session chair.
